There are many upcoming fun festivals and events you can choose from in the Clearwater area. Whether you are into sports, music or food, there is something to do for the whole family. No matter when you are visiting Bamboo Beach Club, chances are there is an event to compliment your stay. If you haven’t been to Clearwater before, then these festivals should give you the perfect excuse.
NHL All-Star Beach Bash
January 27
Part of the highly anticipated NHL All-Star Weekend, the Beach Bash takes place on and around Pier 60. Watch over 15 youth teams face off for the Championship title on special rinks on the beach. This family-friendly event will feature pulsating music from teenage superstar DJ Jake Dela Cruz. As if that is not enough, you will also be able to snap a picture with the actual Stanley Cup.
Clearwater Sea-Blues Festival
February 23 – 24
If you like your seafood with a generous serving of blues on the side, then head over to downtown Clearwater for the Sea-Blues Festival. Coachman Park will be the stage for music from artists such as Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Ana Popovic and ZZ Ward.
Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg
March 9 – 11
You might just think you’ve ended up in Monaco, when early spring announces the arrival of roaring engines and burning rubber, against a backdrop of sun and surf. In three days and 13 different races, newbies, experts, production cars and IndyCars will square off for an unforgettable octane-filled experience.
Pier 60 Sugar Sand Festival
April 13 – 21
What better way to celebrate Clearwater’s beautiful coastline than with the Pier 60 Sugar Sand Festival. The focal point of this event will be the Sugar Sand Walk Exhibit, where 11 sculptors will be tasked with creating nautical works of sandy art. There is so much more to do and see, such as concerts, sand sculpting classes, speed sand demonstrations (improv for sculptors), and you can even hang out at the VIP-lounge this year.
Clearwater Beach Restaurant Week
May 14 – 23
Join in celebrating Clearwater Beach’s vibrant culinary scene during Restaurant Week. Many restaurants in the area participate by offering a fixed price lunch and/or dinner. Afterwards you can vote on your favorite. To kick off this event, there is the Taste Fest at Pier 60 Park, which will be held on May 4.
St. Pete Street Food and Craft Beer Fest
June 15
Returning to St. Petersburg for its second year, the Street Food and Craft Beer Fest is a great way to spend a summer’s day. Try gourmet food from over 20 trucks, sit back and relax in the beer and wine garden, or enjoy the live entertainment. Above all, it’s free!
Clearwater Super Boat Races
September 28-30
What St. Petersburg brings to the streets in March, Clearwater will bring to the water in September. With speeds up to 200 mph, super boats will be competing against each other. Meet the racers, check out the boats from up close and marvel at the high-speed thrills off of Clearwater’s shore.
Clearwater Jazz Holiday
October 18-21
This musical institute has drawn national and international stars to Clearwater over the last four decades. Last year’s edition featured the likes of The Avett Brothers, The Four Tops, Michael McDonald, and The Temptations. Welcome fall with this exciting mix of music and culture in a beautiful setting.
