Spring is always a great time to visit Lowry Park Zoo, which is just a hour drive from Bamboo Beach Club Resort. And if you get there late, or just decide to stay into twilight, Sunset Celebration makes it that much more enjoyable.
From June 16-July 29, the Zoo stays open until 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
Experience the sunset like never before. See wildlife in a whole new light, enjoy entertaining activities for the whole family and indulge in tasty, one of a kind dishes created by the Zoo’s chef.
According to the Zoo, the animals have been safely acclimated so that habitats in the Asian and African areas of the zoo, along with Primate World, can be illuminated and open throughout the night for viewing.
Attractions
In addition to the animal attractions, visitors at Summer Celebration may come across the following.
- “The Tumble Monkeys” atmospheric acrobats
- Magicians
- Stilt walkers
- Hula hoop artists
- DJs
- Dancers
- Live music
- End-of-the-night laser light show finale
Food
Signature dining options are available as well. Indulge in the flavor of your choice.
- Barbecue
- Mexican/Latin
- Tasty pub fare
- All-American favorites
Guests can also enjoy a variety of refreshments, including craft beer, wines, frozen drinks and soft drinks.
Tickets and pricing is available on the Lowry Park Zoo website. Visitors who paid for a day at the Zoo can extend their visit for just $19.95 on Fridays and Saturdays during Sunset Celebration.
