
It sounds good enough to eat (but don’t)! The time-honored tradition of the Pier 60 Sugar Sand Festival is back April 14-23.
If you’re visiting Bamboo Beach Club Resort, do not miss this extraordinary showcase of sand sculpture at its finest, all at the glorious Pier 60, just eight minutes away.
Eleven world-class sculptors will create elaborate sand sculptures from Clearwater’s famous sugar sand. This year’s theme is Sugar Sand FantaSea that will take visitors on a magical journey above and below the sea.
There are a lot of great events happening, so here are the highlights.
The Giant Sandbox

Great piles of sand where kids can climb and spend hours being entertained is every parent’s dream, so be sure to let the kiddos stop by and play.

Sugar Sand Walk Exhibit

See the sculptures displayed in a spectacular 21,000 square-foot tent throughout the festival.
Sand Sculpting Class
Ongoing Daily
Build your own masterpiece! Sugar Sand Sculpting Classes let guests create away in workshops held daily, with carving tools supplied.
Sunset Cinema
It’s a different movie every night. See Moana, the latest Disney craze everyone’s raving about, Pirates of the Caribbean and more! Shows start at dusk weather permitting.

Speed Sand Demonstration
April 15 & 16
What do you want to see in sand? Crowd participants can write down a potential sand sculpture idea and professional sand sculptors have ten minutes to sculpt the randomly chosen idea. This fun, fast-paced show is free.
Live Music
Get your groove on with the Tobacco Rd Band April 14 at 7 p.m. and Tampa favorite The Black Honkeys April 15 at 7 p.m.
You’ll find all this plus fireworks, artisans and crafts, plenty of eateries nearby and more! Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors (55+) and $6 for students (ages 6-17). Get your tickets here.
