It may not be a trail you can complete in one trip, but the 27 breweries that make up the St. Pete/Clearwater Craft Beer Trail are worth a visit if you love a good brew. Even if you’re not a beer fan, most of these places offer above-average food, too.

It’s almost Father’s Day, and what better way to bond with dad than taking him on a tour of the finest breweries during your stay at Bamboo Beach Club Resort?  For your convenience, VisitStPeteClearwater.com has conveniently highlighted the best beer stops on their blog. Here are some of our favorites from the list.

3 Daughters Brewing
You’ll find bold, innovative and amazingly delicious beers at this locally cultivated brewery headquartered on the edge of the Warehouse Arts District and the Grand Central District in St. Pete. THE VIBE: A spacious, modern tasting room (look for the hand prints of the owner’s three daughters on the bar) opens up to a large warehouse area featuring a myriad of games, plus live music and food trucks on the weekends. THE TASTES: Beach Blonde blonde ale, Rod Bender red ale, Bimini Twist IPA, and Summer Storm oatmeal stout, plus an on-going rotation of specialty brews that can only be found in the tasting room.

Dunedin Brewery
Dunedin is Florida’s oldest microbrewery and features dining and live music. Fermenters and mash tuns loom over the airy bar/dining area. Take a $5 tour and you’ll come away with a souvenir glass. THE VIBE: Laid back Florida with a Scottish touch. THE TASTES: Biere de Cafe, a Brown Ale with locally roasted coffee and chocolate, dark and creamy Nitro Stout, Apricot Peach Ale (most popular).

7venth Sun Brewery
A short walk from the Dunedin Brewery, this tiny brewery has a small tasting room, storefront and outdoor patio. It has a stellar reputation for small-batch IPA’s, oak-aged sour beer and spirit barrel-aged beers. Bartenders offer on-the-spot beer instruction and tours. Tours are free, any time; advanced notice is requested for groups. THE VIBE: Cozy, warm and (dog) friendly. THE TASTES: An ever-changing roster includes Funky Buddha Porter, Mangrove and Belge Brune.

Woodwright Brewing Company
Part craft brewery, part wood shop – this hip hangout in downtown Dunedin is filled with unique touches that you won’t find anywhere else. THE VIBE: Cool, casual and uber friendly; select a pint or build-your-own flight, then grab a seat at the bar, upstairs in the loft or outside on the patio. THE TASTES: Enjoy at least eight different beers brewed on-site, including a German Alt, Irish Red, IPA, a citrusy Mandarina, Dunkle and more.

Pair O’ Dice
Pair O’ Dice, a 20-tap tasting room with an expansive view of a 15-barrel brewhouse, is located in a warehouse in a light-industrial park near Carillon Park (Clearwater). The husband-and-wife owners, Ken and Julia Rosenthal, are young mechanical engineers with Anheuser Busch experience who returned home to Florida to join the Tampa Bay craft beer boom. Their focus is flavorful session beers. Take a free tour whenever. THE VIBE:Warehouse chic. THE TASTES: Little Joe Oatmeal Stout, the signature brew; Nina Wit (a Belgian style white ale), Hop Bet Red Ale (an hopped American red ale).

mad beach

Mad Beach Brewing
Located in the heart of the Gulf Beaches, this place literally brews craft beer on an island. You’ll find it nestled among the shops and restaurants in John’s Pass Village on Madeira Beach.  THE VIBE: A modern, open space featuring a giant screen for sports fanatics and a full menu of delicious pub food. THE TASTES: Dolphin Drool Pale Ale, Life’s a Beach Wheat Ale, Kalypso Key Lime Cider and more; you’ll always find about 15-20 beers on tap.

Two Lions Winery & Palm Harbor Brewery
Beer lovers, bring the wine lovers with you! This sweet little spot brews their own craft beer AND makes their own wine. THE VIBE: Intimate, casual and fun with a quaint outdoor patio and live entertainment on the weekends. You’ll feel like you’re at a friend’s house party. THE TASTES: Hop Gone Wild Double IPA, Suncoast Hefe, Florida Saison, Bodega Porter and more.

Urban Comfort Restaurant and Brewery
Urban Comfort is all about the charm of southern comfort food and hand crafted beers with local roots. THE VIBE: It’s the only brewpub in town with the quintessential St Petersburg sport – Shuffle Board! The food is pretty legit, too. THE TASTES: Urban Red, Royal Bohemian Pilsner, Urban Standard IPA, Urban Hefeweizen.

That’s just a sampling! Tampa Bay is Florida’s craft beer capital, so don’t miss your chance to find out why during your stay at Bamboo Beach Club Resort.
